Network problem with the forum?

Postby udosuk » Tue Oct 31, 2006 3:34 am

Recently, I have difficulties connected to the forum during certain periods (IE couldn't open the page at all)... I wonder if it's the problem with my own computer or if somebody else also encounters the same problem?

Feedback would be appreciated...:) Thanks!

About an hour before your post, several attempts to connect to this site failed. Other sites were accessible.

Thanks ronk! So it's not my own problem... Actually this has happened to me 2 or 3 times during the last few days too...

I've also noted the same thing.......

Just after all came back to normal........I noticed that Scott was signed-in ..... Not sure if that is connected though:(:?:

It's happened to me a few times in the past, I didn't find out the reason why.
I'm just wondering, would the site close down if work was being carried out on the software:?:

I haven't noticed any problems myself, but have been in Sydney for a couple of days and not on as much as usual. If I notice anything I'll bring it up with the host.

An upgrade of phpBB does require a 5 to 10 minute downtime, but I haven't done one of those for a few weeks.

What is the correct forum for making a phpBB suggestion?

Site problem for anyone else?

I was unable to reach sudoku.com for about an hour starting at 11:11 GMT. Every other site I tried worked fine.

Forum suggestions can go here in Off-Topic. I'll chase our hosting provider up about possible downtime on the 4th. Thanks for letting me know.

Trying about once an hour, this is the first time I've been able [edit: to access] this site today. Has anyone been successful much earlier than this?

P.S. Assuming you've got your Time Zone set correctly.:)

We had a server hiccup, it seems. A reboot fixed things, but I'm not sure what caused the forums to be unresponsive.
