I'd like to be able to pick among the various possible symmetries -- 90 and 180 degree rotation, single or double mirror, horizontal or diagonal mirror, etc. There are about 10 different symmetry combinations possible. I've seen them all, though the type that this Pappocom uses is seems to be by far the most common.

Further, I'd like the capability to be able to create puzzles with specific patterns that are not symmetrical by choosing which cells shall contain clues and which will not. There may be interesting solving situations that may not come up with a symmetrical construction. I'd like to be able to set some or all of the cells in advance with specific clue numbers as well. I might want to make a puzzle with someone's initials:
