Losing "logged in" status , following links

Postby blue » Wed Feb 28, 2018 5:37 pm

Hi Jason,

If I'm logged in, and I follow a link in a post, or a "jump to post" link from "Advanced Search" results, I lose the "logged in" status.
Have things always been this way ? (I usually don't log in, so I wouldn't know).

Best Regards,
Blue.

Blue, it's good to see you again!

Do you tick the "Log me in automatically" box (I think that's close) when you log in? That seems to help me.

No, but thanks for the suggestion.

Everything seems to be working fine now.
This is after a reboot, some time ago, but definitely after the OP here.

:?: I don't know :?:

Normally, "logged in" is tracked as part of the URL, so if you go somewhere else and then come back to the forum you will either be logged in or not depending on which URL you use to get back to the forum. By the by, there is also a timeout, you get logged out after five minutes with no activity, so it matters how long you are elsewhere.

"Log me in automatically" is by far the best approach, saves lots of trouble.
