If you are able to, enlarge printed grid in Times to A4 size on a photocopier (setting of 200% is just perfect) - so much easier

secondly - I colour/outline the various shapes according to number of cells/squares in each shape.

I thought some printers allow you to adjust the size of the printed output, to x% of the original size. It might be worth checking out Print Setup as well.

Yes, I always print them out in enlarged form; ditto when devising them. Another reason to photocopy them is because it beats trying to repeatedly erase your marks on newsprint or pulp paper stock!

A long way back someone posted a list of candidate combinations for killers. I wonder if anyone can direct me to it - save me doing the big search.

I've nearly finished the Times Killer book:(

Does anyone know if another one is coming out soon, or if there are any other sources of killer puzzles as good as the Times ones.

Thank you:D

More Killer puzzles can be found at www.djape.net.

Some of them are much harder than The Times offerings!

jf27 - thanks in retrospect for the link to the candidates. I’m a late starter as far as killers go but they have got under my skin and that list is a big help.

The first of the numberless <>= ones is actually not that hard, but the 2nd one I'm still working on....! (just to clarify, those ones aren't my work, I just linked to them; it's only the two ones reproduced on my blog which are my handiwork).

Yes that second puzzle was a challenge - there's several posts about these <>= puzzles in the Non-Pappocom section, thread started by some woman with an addiction to Killer Sudokus!
