Here's my go at Godoku No 7:

YOD LAH ICB
LBI YCO ADH
HCA BID YLO

DYO HBI CAL
CAH DYL OBI
ILB COA HYD

BHC IDY LOA
ADL OHC BIY
OIY ALB DHC

But I can't see a 'word or phrase' (looks like it ought to be Boy Child)

Ideas? Thanks.

Hm, in Michael Moorcocks's "Behold The Man" the protagonist takes a HOLIDAY by going back in time to find A BOY CHILD (Jesus Christ). I guess the answer might just be HOLIDAY and ignore the BC part.

A lame duck might have difficulty waddling but it could still waffle unimpeded.
