First of all, I apologize if this question has been asked before, it is highly unlikely that it has not, nevertheless, I have had no joy in finding it, though, at the moment, until my PC comes back, I am restricted to accessing the internet via my mobile, which is a nightmare.

So, is there somewhere here, where I can find a glossary of all the terms one can expect to come across in Sudoku, I am particulary interested in the term of the chute, I cannot find anywhere an explanation of what it is, though I am beginning to suspect it has an alternative name. Can anyone, point me in the right direction, or, alternatively, explain it simply. I am familiar with the concept of ALS's
