champagne has just published interesting puzzle, having 2 symmetries - diagonal and antidiagonal (see thread The hardest sudokus (new thread) at this forum).
- Code: Select all
1 . . . 6 . . . 5
. 9 . . . 2 . 7 .
. . . 8 . . 3 . .
. . 2 1 . . . 4 .
4 . . . . . . . 8
. 8 . . . 9 6 . .
. . 7 . . 4 . . .
. 3 . 6 . . . 1 .
5 . . . 2 . . . 9
The same in line form:
- Code: Select all
1...6...5.9...2.7....8..3....21...4.4.......8.8...96....7..4....3.6...1.5...2...9
This puzzle seems to be very difficult if you don't use information about its symmetries. Is it possible to solve it not using information about its symmetries? I couldn't solve it, but I am poor sudoku player. Any takers?
