From this very website on how to use the program: "Puzzle grades: Basic grades are Easy, Medium and Hard. Hold down the Control key to make the basic grades into Very Easy, Anonymous and Very Hard respectively.

There ya go:)

Or was the question more about having a button on the task bar to do that?

Hi Luna, yep it was more of having buttons available to do just that. Quick clicks all that type of stuff.

Click on New then press the control key, hold it down and click on the puzzle of your choice.

At least that's how I remember it.

Just a couple of thoughts about difficulty setting -
1. It would be nice if the program saved the last difficulty setting you chose (when you close it).
2. How about a drop-down selection box with all six difficulty settings instead of the three buttons?
3. Also, I think the difficulty buttons should change colour/picture when the user holds down the Ctrl key.

Yes, I'll think about those. #3 is quite possible. #2 would take up a bit of real estate on the toolbar. #1 may not happen, though. The way it comes up into Medium was deliberate, as a way of reminding Easy-only solvers that there are other grades of puzzle out there. But, as I say, I'll think about it.
