I was saddened to see the report about Steve Irwin also. It's small consolation, but at least he died doing what he loved. I hope I never see film of the actual event.
The tragic death of Steve Irwin has caused an overwhelming response of grief and sadness over here and around the world. Numerous letters appeared in today's Melbourne Herald-Sun including people from California and Liverpool, UK, expressing their appreciation of his passion for life and preservation of the environment and animals.
A couple of letters were not so supportive saying he was an accident waiting to happen and that he tormented the wildlife from which he prospered.
I was saddened to hear of his death and I must say, I thought that he was guilty of tormenting the wildlife, sometimes. Then again I don't claim to be an expert of the subject.
what can you say about a guy who played with some of the most dangerous creatures on earth... I will miss that crazy son of a [bleep]....God bless Steve !!!!
