Its interesting how just a difference in 3 units (or even 1) in the SE rating corresponds to a tremendous difference in hardness.

My contribution could also be posted in the Variants section, but it is certainly on-topic in this thread.

Here is a Sudoku-Xmas tree:

It has 17 overlapping Sudoku-X puzzles. The darker regions show where the overlaps are, but the X's will also help you locate the constituent Sudokus.
