Chocolate

Postby MCC » Sun Mar 26, 2006 5:12 pm

This diet of spam is getting monotonous how about some chocolate to relieve the monotony.

We in the UK have a bar of confectionery called 'Topic', it contains: Milk Chocolate; Hazelnuts; Soft Nougat with a Smooth Caramel Centre.

I'm just wondering whether a bar of 'Off Topic' would be healthier? Or not?
And what would be its ingredients?

Over to you - The chocolate consuming connoisseurs.

The 'OFF TOPIC BAR' aka MAPS - the health(ier) alternative to the MARS.

“Chunks of spam slathered in a sublime seaweed sauce with tender tofu truffles layered with liver lobe, bloated prunes and seductively shaved shards of squid folded in fabulous fig fudge and coated in a crusty chickpea curd that resists the bite but melts ever-so deliciously on the lips, transforms into a heavenly goo in the mouth and slides ever-so smoothly down the throat in a to-die-for concoction that sits oh-so satisfyingly in the stomach.”

You can sell pretty much anything these days – it just takes the right spin.

Well obviously:D the Off-Topic Bar would be Plain Chocolate (85% Cocoa Beans), Pine Nuts, Hard Nougat with a Rough Caramel Centre - IMHO.

Luna *talk about melts-in-the-mouth flavour*

PS this is in no way intended as double-entendre

I was hoping to stimulate discourse by mentioning chocolate but it looks like your all choc(k)-ful, or else Sudoku and chocolate don't go together.
So it looks like 'Death by Chocolate' for this thread:(

Maybe I should have started with an appertizer instead of dessert:idea:

Oh, MCC - did you want recipes?? Isn't it exasperating when people go off at a tangent. In future I’ll try harder to keep on the offtopic…

This Hot Chocolate is pretty appetising - if you’re not a calorie-commando ...

Heat ½c cream
Add 200g chopped chocolate
Pour into 2 glasses
Top each glass with scalded milk & 1Tb Kahlua

Mmmmmmmm!

Tangent? Is that similar to a Tangelo?

Anyway, we need more tangents, the more the merrier.

As for recipes, if they get you juices flowing - now there's a double-entendre if ever I saw one - sorry:( hand slapped for degenerating into smut - Now where was I, ah yes, recipes, if they keep the thread going fine, but if they come with a side order of tangents then that's fine also.

The reason I did not respond to Luna's PS is that I'm to much of a nice guy to have done so.

Two glasses of Hot Chocolate em, why not just use a larger glass:?:

If people don't understand em's remark it's because she replied to an item in my post that's been deleted by those on high, a breech of copyright law on my part:( Hand duely slapped.

Must take up knitting, we've got crossed threads here.

When em replied with
em wrote:Cos I don’t want to be a ‘jelly gut furlough.’

It threw me because I'd thought she'd replied to this link
and could not understand why it had been deleted, which, of course, it hasn't been.

So, this not deleted and em's reply to my post on larger glasses was in 'Anguish', found here at em's link

Hope all of this makes sense, if not, you've entered the 'Twilight Zone'.
