I saw an interesting example of memory and recall, albeit with several errors along the way. I didn't see any puzzle solving.

Why do you believe that he's solving anything? His assistant calls out the cells for which she wants an assignment. Who solves puzzles that way, blind or not? You look for a cell where you can make an elimination or assignment, make it, and go on. When he makes a mistake, his assistant ignores it and goes on.

It's an impressive demonstration of memory, but I have no reason to believe that it's anything else.

There are many ways to solve a sudoku puzzle, this is very likely a new technique. i love what he does and i will like to learn his technique.

I'm a little confused about who the solver is here. In your initial post, you said "watch me". You've edited that out, and in later posts refer to "that guy". Are you the solver?

By the way, the puzzle has multiple solutions. For a demonstration like this, he should at least use a valid puzzle.

Multiple solutions only occur in sudoku puzzles with less than 17 clues, in this case the puzzle has more than 25 clues hence it cant have multiple solutions. You probably have not solved it properly or you copied the wrong clues.

It has multiple solutions. I don't know where you got the idea that only puzzles with fewer than 17 clues can have multiple solutions.

The minor issues you must have noticed should never overshadow the fact that what the solver has been able to achieve with this video is remarkable that is the reason i shared this video. This video is obviously going to set a trend in the puzzle world and anyone out there who can do better will want to show the world too.

I did give him credit- for having a remarkable memory and recall ability. However, he claims to be solving the Sudoku in his head and blindfolded, and I don't buy it. Believe what you like.

He couldnt have done it with memory and recall in just 10 minutes, if it was so easy someone else would have done it before him. I strongly believe he is calculating the solutions in his brain using a smart technique he developed that is only known by him. It is not ordinary memory and recall as you think.

That is a trivially easy puzzle (ignoring the 16 solutions issue). If you accept puzzles with multiple solutions it can be solved by an experienced player as quickly as they could write down the solution (probably in under 30 seconds).

You say there is something interesting going on, but other than especially good memorization skills, nothing interesting is apparent in the video or in your comments. Perhaps you could explain what is happening that is interesting, apart from memorization skills?
