At Least I Didn't Use A Spoon (Arrow Sudoku)

Postby mith » Wed Nov 04, 2020 12:57 am

Had a second puzzle featured on CTC today, a variant this time.

Digits along arrows sum to the (1- or 2-digit numbers) in the circle/stadium from which they originate; 2-digit sums read left-to-right or top-to-bottom (regardless of arrow orientation).

It has a single solution:
Hidden Text: Show
Code: Select all
8 3 2 9 1 6 4 7 5
6 9 1 7 4 5 8 3 2
5 7 4 3 2 8 6 1 9
4 8 7 2 6 9 3 5 1
1 6 9 5 3 4 7 2 8
3 2 5 8 7 1 9 4 6
2 1 3 6 8 7 5 9 4
7 5 8 4 9 2 1 6 3
9 4 6 1 5 3 2 8 7

Here one with same layout and unknown difficulty, probably too hard.

Here's the CTC video, in case anyone is interested:

I was quite pleased with the beginning steps of this one. And also a bit surprised I was able to get it so symmetrical.

Thanks for providing the link. I also liked very much their (Simon's) second attempt at Tatooine Sunset.
Solving that way (video) shows the beauty of the puzzle in detail. BTW, I like very much your puzzles!

Best regards,
