A new kind of 3D Sudoku

Certainly I've not seen anything like it before - as far as I can tell, it's the first 'properly' three-dimensional sudoku puzzle. A cube with sixteen cells on each face, and instead of rows and columns you have 'bands' of sixteen cells running right round the cube.

A Sudoku with 16 cells?:!: ? Where did you see it? Did you try to complete it? Could you even start it? It sounds nearly impossible!!!
