5 gattai variants

Postby 1to9only » Thu Jul 12, 2018 12:53 pm

I've updated my old gattai code to make a few more:
- butterfly, 4 sudokus, x4 6-nonet overlap
- cross, 5 sudokus, x4 3-nonet overlap
- sensei-4, 2 sudokus, x1 4-nonet overlap
- tripledoku-4, 3 sudokus, x2 4-nonet overlap
- tripledoku-3, 3 sudokus, x1 3-nonet overlap, x2 2-nonet overlap

I generate between 30-60 of each type of puzzle, and keep between 10-15 for review, and select from these to publish one or two! I'll have to generate these puzzles in the hundreds to find harder puzzles - I've no time for that!!

The butterfly, sensei-4 and tripledoku-4 puzzles have clues in the nonets!

Download the zip file (pdfs inside) at the bottom of this post to see how the grids overlap.

I completed the Very Easy Sensei-4 without pencil marks. Not often I can do that with a gattai. It was a nice, quick puzzle, but not TOO easy.

It has also been a month since I finished a puzzle. Since the last one I completed, I've been trying unsuccessfully to get through tarek's Bank Holiday 1108 Sumo Special. Third attempt.
