what stratgies are behind "toru ipa" and "rua

Hi all,

reading about advanced solving strategies I found a reference to two strategies where I didn't find any useful link while googling.

Does anybody know the strategies "toru ipa" and "rua ira"?
Some links would be nice:)

TIA,
Niko

could you post the links to where you found the techniques of "toru ipa" and "rua ira."

Googling results: the book 'The Complete Sudoku Strategy Guide' talks of this technique but doesn't give any mention of what the technique is, if someone in this forum has the book, they may be of more help.

Rua and toru are the Maori words for two and three. I don’t know about ipa - its spelt ipu elsewhere on the page which means vessel. Ira means dot or mark.

It brings to mind Jeff’s method - I could never remember which mark to put where.
