I wish you could do sudoku puzzles online instead of having to have the program to play or having to print it out. It would be so much easier.:!::idea::)

I think it's a great idea! Someone could do it with VBScript, or even JavaScript! Woohoo! I'm having fun just trying to fathom how to go about it! wooooooooooooo!

You can already do this by using the java solver/puzzle setter found on SourceForge at

http://sourceforge.net/projects/sudoku

You do need java however...

Further to the earlier post by mfwiniberg, the SourceForge solver/composer is hosted at act365.com/sudoku

I think it would be a good idea to play online as you could set up online competitions. Person A could challenge person B to a *'Fiendish' sudoku. They would start at the same time and the first one to complete the puzzle correctly would gain say 1 point. Then you could have rankings, and if a lower ranked player beats a higher one then maybe they could gain 2 points.

*Rating can be negotiated between players.
