I googled it and found no sign of a sudoku world cup in London.

If there was one I'm sure the Times would have mentioned it

I did find a lik to a world cup in Italy though, i will try to find it again

My local paper ran an article 2-3 weeks ago on the growing sudoku craze. In it they mentioned the "European" championships in London as being the largets worldwide tournament. If I remember correctly it's sponsored by the London Times.

Yes, that is the Italian one i mentioned, i would love to see that there was one in london but i can't find it anywhere

The Washington Post and Express Sponsor Sudoku Tournament[/b]

The Washington Post and Express have selected 200 Sudoku players in the Washington area to square off at a tournament to be held at Union Station in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, February 2, 2006.

Participants were selected randomly from entrants who completed and submitted five special tournament entry puzzles that appeared in The Washington Post and Express during the week of January 9.

The grand prize is a trip for two to London for 5 days and 4 nights and a $500 Union Station shopping spree.

(nothing said here about a Championship in London.)
