Hi

I wrote in General/Puzzle a while ago that I hadn't found any puzzles requiring any of the advanced techniques and someone generously passed on to me Vidar's Monster #4. With friends like those, who needs enemies....

In looking for a hint to break my deadlock today, I realized that I had missed one of the given numbers when I copied it to paper, so I'm not asking for help yet.

BUT, a couple postings I saw in the Vidar's Monster #4 thread from a month ago imply that people were only solving it with computer programs.

If so, that's completely out of my league and interest, so someone, PLEASE LET ME KNOW if this is doable by hand (by a pretty good but frequently interrupted puzzle solver, but no mathmetical genius), or am I wasting my time.

For me it is from the class, where solving is more work than fun. I try to avoid to start with those puzzles, because when i reach the point, where i cant stop before finding any solution, it will cost me many hours without getting an elegant solution at the end.
