Very basic question about a very hard puzzle

Postby dcj1978 » Thu Jun 02, 2005 7:42 pm

I'm trying a very hard for the first time today just for fun. And I'm just curious where all the advanced members of this forum might start the following puzzle.

My biggest problem seems to be just getting started in the puzzle.

Thanks in advance

Code: Select all
_____________
|8..|..1|.3.|
|..1|8..|..4|
|...|9..|.7.|
-------------
|.5.|..9|6..|
|.4.|...|.5.|
|..9|7..|.4.|
-------------
|.8.|..2|...|
|3..|..5|9..|
|.2.|1..|..5|
-------------

Thats it. Now, anyone care to share how they would start this puzzle? No need to solve the whole thing really, just give me an idea on where exactly you might start.

Thanks

Start the same way as you would start an easy one... there are several numbers which you can fill in immediatly... so fill those in first.

(Small note: this is the same (starting) grid as the one posted in http://forum.enjoysudoku.com/viewtopic.php?t=410 ... the only difference is the question)
