you need visual basic installed on your system...with the latest version of MDAC components...

i have vb installed
but dont know about mdac files
this is something that the general user should not worry about
they should just be able to execute the program and use it
i dont know if mine does the same thing either

i jst saw your screen shot...seems tht wht i have is a very primary version... i jst took a couple of hours to do it thou...but ur application looks like it must have many possibilities...

there is more details abou the application there
as far solving techniques, it only has two currently
the reason is, its hard to code programs which step through single answers when so many possiblities are available
as far as the link goes, i have tested it myself and others all say that it works
bring you email up againg, i did not know if the ... where actually in your email address, i will send it to you via email
