Unique Solution of Suduku

Postby RoiFaust » Wed Jul 06, 2005 10:33 am

I have a general question - does all the suduku (including the rated as hard ones) puzzels can be solved analitically?
Is there only one possible solution?
I sometime guess during solving suduku - is it a must or can I advance step by step with 100% assurance?

It depends where you get the puzzle from. It would be nice if they all had a single solution that could be arrived at analytically, but not all puzzle setters agree.

Pappocom puzzles always have a single solution that can be arrived at analytically.

Now that's a spelling I'll have to use more often.

By the way, in answer to your questions, if I was you, I'd read some of angusj's and simes's site info.
