Understanding notation for A Continuous Nice Loop

Postby brian27 » Sun Jan 12, 2025 3:47 pm

Where can I learn how to read the following from the discussion of a puzzle by Shye named Curses.

(8=1)r3c2 - r3c37 = r8c37(c37\r348) - (1=782)r678c8 - r15c8 = r59c2(r159\c1289) - (2=8)r2c2 => r3c19,r4c29,r8c1<>1,r7c19,r2c9,r6c1<>2,r78c7<>7,r5c28,r3c1,r4c2<>8;stte

I understand strong and weak links but I'm confused on these 4 terms: r8c37(c37\r348) - (1=782)r678c8 - r15c8 = r59c2(r159\c1289)

I appreciate any help on this.
