Allow me to compare above W-Wings exemplar with Grouped 2-String Kite as follows:
- Code: Select all

. -A AB | . . . | . AB . +A / +A | / / / | / +A /

I think, right hand side exemplar superseded the left hand side one. How? Allow me to give my analyses as follows:
In left hand side exemplar, if r2c38 contain naked pair, then it means that it also creates both digits "A" and "B" strong links in r2.
And, if we omit "B" digit for a moment and concentrate on digit "A" pattern, then we have exactly the same pattern as per right hand side exemplar (after naked pair move), which is Grouped 2-String Kite.
Well, if there are any specific puzzles available that will have the above W-Wings pattern, then I will check the same with my solver for if it will also detect as Grouped 2-String Kite or not.
Added: What's in my mind, is that, after doing such special case of W-Wings (as shown in left hand side), the puzzle state still need to exclude naked pair, i.e., in both the cases, it will have to exclude naked pair from r2 either before or after in order to solve the puzzle. (I am not in a position to challenge anything.)
