I have been using dukuso's rating program on my list of 18-clue Sudokus, and this is one of the ones that came out as very hard..

in fact, my lists of hardest sudokus now consist almost
entirely of Gordon's 18- and 17- clue puzzles now.
There are many very hard sudokus among those
and just generating 18-clue-sudokus seems to be a
good method to create hard sudokus as well.
