Don't care anymore. Nothing makes sense. Nose hurts.

Cheers.

this is driving me mad! I have been sitting looking at it for an hour now and can't narrow my options. Any hints?

going from memory, as I don't have the puzzle in front of me but I seem to recall you can work out the options for the rows in the Left hand central box, and also r5c9

Sorry, this is an invalid, pointless, multiple-solutioned puzzle. I suggest you waste no more time on it and try another! (cheesy grin)

You can put the 2 in the right hand middle box

Can't go in r4c8 given the 7 already in r6c8
Can't go in c9 given you'd then need 7 and 9 to make up the 3 cell cage totalling 18... both are already in box 6

You can then place the remaining 3 numbers in that box and Bob's your uncle. Fairly straightforward from then on:D It flowed nicely clockwise from that point.

I did think it was a bit trickier than recent killers based on the bigger cages and lack of easy gimme's, but still easier than say the Sunday Times Superior. I did use more normal Sudoku techniques than is usually required for the killers though. Took me just under 15 mins.

Enigma,
Many thanks - it flowed exactly as you said once you gave me the clue on the 2. Thanks so much - it really is quite a nice su doku with plenty of killer rules and su doku logic required to solve it.

Strewth! I only wandered into this thread in defence of 20 million Australians who’d been slandered in an earlier post! And where were all the Aussies? Sitting in the sun on Bondi Beach? Gone walkabout? Well, that’s definitely the last time I stand up for Oz – you can do it yourselves from now on! (mild chagrin)
