Advanced methods and approaches for solving Sudoku puzzles

The next step?

Postby zebedee » Tue Jun 21, 2005 9:30 pm

I have today managed to solve the very hard puzzle below but only using trial and error. Can anyone advise pse as to whether there is a logical step that I missed from the position shown. I suspect that there is but I couldn't see it for looking.

Many thanks in advance.

Zeb

As usual you are looking for two rows or columns in which a number only appears twice.

Have a good look at rows 2 and 6.
