When you go to download their puzzles the copyright is Puzzler Media Ltd, which, according to Nikoli's own website, means that they are Nikoli's puzzles.

quite embarrassing for me, i should've done this research myself instead of posting a silly query---

so Nikoli hides their work behind this "Puzzler Media" label
