Sunday Times Superior No. 41: 14 May

Can only get this far:-

24*|**6|198
**8|*19|4**
**6|*84|75*

**4|*92|*8*
*89|435|6**
*32|8**|94*

461|***|**9
**7|*4*|***
8**|9**|**4

Have done some eliminations, but can see no pairs, triples, fours or X-wings. What am I missing?

Thanks

Thanks for any help.

Thanks CW, but can you explain? My column 4 looks like this:-

3/5/7
2/3/5
2/3

1/6
4
8

5/7
1/6
9

So I have a pair, and a quad, but can't see how this helps.

Thanks

Cathy was just pointing out a possible move from that position (because you haven't included your candidates)... But it wasn't a critical move that solves the puzzle...

The critical move is a naked triple on the bottom row, which will give you a naked pair on the central column, and the rest are all straight forward naked singles...

Yes! that's it, thanks. It was staring at me all the time - can't think why I didn't see it!

Thanks for the interpretation udosuk! Agreed - and it does help to include candidates (or specify that you're trying to work without them).
