Sudoku Supplement - 29 October

Postby CathyW » Sat Oct 29, 2005 8:57 pm

Good to see another set of sudokus with today's Times. The "Deadly" Killers weren't (again) - the 50 minute one took me 20 and the 45 minute one took 17. Maybe the "Tough" ones will be more difficult:?::)

Took me awhile to do the last killer, but I spent most of it entirely overlooking a glaringly obvious move, so it was my fault.

The 50 minute deadly took 21 mins and the 45 minute 13:30. Bring out the 6 hour deadly's that they boasted about when they first introduced killer!

I assume the times aren't trying to sell the books any more if they're giving away those suppliments

long live sudoku!

I don't know. I also wonder whether Pappocom supplies these extra puzzles for free (as I understand is the case with the day-to-day puzzles)? Because surely once you're publishing sixty or so puzzles every week with your paper, that's going to harm software sales instead of increase them, because people will already have all the puzzles they could ever do. But then I'm mercenary like that.

I never knew they were free for the times, i would have thought that he wouldn't allow this to happen for free on a regular basis because of harms to book sales, maybee it is just a plot to get everybody adicted and wthen withdraw them from the times and hike the book and software prices!
