In the times there are 4 difficulty ratings but on the pappocom program there are three, does anyone know how they relate to each other??

There are actually five difficulty ratings in Pappocom's program. If you press Control (I think) while clicking on the difficulty setting you can change what you get, like this:

Ctrl+Easy = Very Easy
Ctrl+Medium = Random difficulty
Ctrl+Hard = Very Hard

I believe that the correspondence with The Times is like this:

Pappocom -- Times

Very Easy -- Easy
Easy -- Mild
Medium -- Difficult
Hard -- Fiendish
Very Hard -- Sunday Times puzzles

But I'm working entirely from memory here, so I might be wrong.
