Hi, all,

I tried to solve the following Sudoku:

I stared almost 6 minutesat the Sudoku - but I found NO HIDDEN SINGLE

So I need a lot of help to solve this (extremely easySudoku) - thanks in advance

There is one at r9c1 and another at r7c7

There are also locked candidates on 7, 5 and 3.

You should try sticky tack/sticky notes/dry erase markers, or something like that, either on your screen (first two) or copy the puzzle down. But I usually spend the first 10 minutes or so on singles cascades, so 6 minutes not unrealistic...

Staring at a screen/piece of paper feeling like an idiot for 10 minutes is totally worth it for the "wow can't believe I missed that" moments

I could understand it, if I had to stare only 5 seconds - and then I see that there are a bunch of hidden singles. But 6 minutes to stare on a Sudoku not to find anything is much too long time. Others solved 10 Sudokus like this one in that time. I am dealing with Sudoku since January 2007 - things like that may ABSOLUTELY never happen for me. The eyes have to fly over the Sudoku - and - within 10 seconds the first 20 hidden singles are found...

The first hidden singles I found were: r9c1 = 3 and r7c7 = 2. After that I had to pencilmark the remaining 62 cells.
More than 2 hours I needed to get only 25 hidden singles totally. IT IS TOO MUCH TIME WASTED!!!
Normally I should solved this extremely easy Sudoku in LESS than 5 SECONDS!!!

I am sure that EVERY 6 months old CHILD could solve this Sudoku in LESS than 5 SECONDS!!!

So I have 39 cells with pencilmarks. They caused me (I hope ETERNAL and NEVERENDING!!! headaches!)

Any hints and tipps are apreciated!

Download Angus Johnson's Simple Sudoku from http://angusj.com/sudoku/

It will significantly help you in solving puzzles of this level. Based on your final PM grid, you missed a hidden 5 in r8c8 and a hidden 8 in r9c7 plus sundry locked candidates for digits 4/6/7/8. Applying those will expose a naked double <67> and then a naked double <59> in box 8. Applying that will expose a naked triple <134> in col 4. Applying that will set r2c4=9 and it's singles from there on.
