SUDOKU CHALLENGE
*******************************************

For part of my degree i have been developing su doku software. One of these is designed to produce results on the playability of the game depending on the input set used.
Could anyone and everyone please have a go at the experiment, it doesnt take that long and its fun to do.

Doesn't work, it needs a password, which I can't give.

Locks up the internet browser, have to force it to close.

I didn't even get that far. I got some instructions, but when I hit "proceed" it seemed to require that I allow java applets.

NO WAY!!!

I only allow javascript, etc. when dealing with my bank. Who wants a bunch of security problems?

Bye.

It's just java. It can't do THAT much, I think. (I hope)

It's my superstition that java is a programming language that can do stuff. Who knows what? I don't click on anything.

And I don't expect people to click on my stuff. See my site www.sudoku.funurl.com. It has some programs, but also the source code so people can examine it and compile it themselves.

I only click on stuff from entities that I know for sure are reputable and can be sued, such as my bank. And maybe programmers I know, even though they usually send me source.

But then I have no virus scan crap on my machine and have had no problem for years (actually never had a problem since the internet got popular). My machine runs fast and clean. I intend it will stay that way.

If you have chance please have a go.

If you are worried about security can i just say i am a university student just trying to get some results for my thesis.

Thankyou

Interesting! Had to start over with the colours and the shapes in the practice puzzle seemed much harder too. Good luck with your study. Do report on the outcome in due course.

I found that quite fun.

It took me a while to work out what was going on with the first puzzle and how to select numbers but when i got the hang of it i thought it was great.
