Stupid puzzle

Postby somu » Sat Mar 18, 2006 2:11 pm

Hi everyone...:D:D
There are puzzles published everyday in the Telegraph newspaper @India.. Most of them are so hard that the solution doesn't come out by analysis.
I try the guessing game from then on.
Can anyone help me with the puzzle no. 127:?::?:
Thanx in advance..

I doubt most people can bothered to go to India to get the newspaper.

How about you posted it here?

The procedure for asking help including how to post a puzzle is described (just click on-->HERE. Note particularly the placement of the "code" tags at the start and end of your puzzle.

Actually I was in India these days and got the telegraph ;-)
Ok. Not really.
But I found the telegraph at http://www.telegraphindia.com/1060309/asp/sudoku/

No 127 is

Code: Select all
+-------+-------+-------+
| . 8 . | . 2 . | 5 . . |
| 4 . 5 | . . 9 | . . . |
| . . . | 4 . . | . 1 . |
+-------+-------+-------+
| 9 5 . | 1 . . | 4 . . |
| . . . | 7 . 4 | . . . |
| . . 1 | . . 5 | . 8 2 |
+-------+-------+-------+
| . 1 . | . . 3 | . . 7 |
| . . . | 5 . . | 6 . 8 |
| . . 6 | . 4 . | . 5 . |
+-------+-------+-------+

This puzzle has 4 solutions and is therefore invalid.

Interesting newspaper, publishing invalid sudokus ;-)

Lazy editor! There obviously needed to be a 3 at r3c1 to make it symmetrical and solvable.
