I've been cruzing through this book, trying to improve my techniques and am into what he calls the "dangerou-most challenging" section and solved the first 8 with some effort. I am now stuck after having made very little progress on this one. It seems I must be missing something simple but after coming back to it 3 days in a row without sucess, I am finally begging for help. Pappacom's software rates it a very hard. Any hints would be most welcome.

I', assuming that the "8" in r1c7 is a typo
you dropped the "1"s in r9c7 & r8c4, How??........

I would look then at Column 4........There is a hidden triple there....
