When you solve puzzles I'm not sure whether you use pencilmarks which are explained
HERE . By loading your puzzle into one of the many solver programs, such as
Simple Sudoku, the following Pencilmark Grid can be produced by Copy and Paste to the Forum. This grid makes it easier to identify possible candidate eliminations, such as the "Naked Pairs" mentioned above and which, as you eventually found out, were the key to solving this puzzle.
