Code: Select all
...8.37...8..1......4...12.2.8....5.5..692..1.9....2.4.75...8......8..1...63.4...

This puzzle is more difficult than your previous ones and there is no easy solution I can give you, except to say that it will involve, amongst other things, an Alternating Inference Chain (AIC). Here is the key AIC move in my solution.

Code: Select all
*--------------------------------------------*
| 169 256 129 | 8  a24  3    | 7   69-4 569  |
| 679 8   29  |b24  1   567  | 469 3469 3569 |
| 367 356 4   | 579 567 5679 | 1   2    8    |
|-------------+--------------+---------------|
| 2   36  8   | 14  347 17   | 69  5    679  |
| 5   4   7   | 6   9   2    | 3   8    1    |
| 136 9   13  | 57  357 8    | 2   67   4    |
|-------------+--------------+---------------|
|e349 7   5   |c12  26 d169  | 8  f346  236  |
| 349 23  239 | 579 8   5679 | 46  1    367  |
| 8   1   6   | 3   27  4    | 5   79   279  |
*--------------------------------------------*

(4) r1c5 = (4-2) r2c4 = (2-1) r7c4 = (1-9) r7c6 = (9-4) r7c1 = (4) r7c8 => - 4 r1c8

To understand it you'll have to go through a significant learning process about AIC's for which the Hodoku page is here. If you post other puzzles, hopefully they will not require this level of solving.
