Solvers for samurai puzzles

Does anyone know of any solvers that can handle a samurai puzzle? I have tried using a solver for standard puzzles and entering five seperate puzzles, but because the overlapping areas are blank this is not practical. Are Samurais deliberately composed this way to be "solver-proof"?

Well, they're deliberately compsed so that the individual Su Dokus canot be solved in isolation, so you have to use the extra information you are given (the overlapping boxes). This does mean that normal solver programs can't solve them, but they haven't been designed that way specifically for that reason.

So what about if you just took a few more steps and then used a solver? Surely that would produce each grid accurately, with all the overlaps present and correct?
