Simple Sudoku Solver query

Postby Cec » Thu Jan 26, 2006 6:15 am

In using the SS Puzzle Solver which hasn't given me any previous trouble, I now find that any candidate(s) I highlight in a cell, even when not a logical exclusion, will still be excluded after pressing Alt + that candidate number. This even excludes the same candidate number in an entire row which obviously cannot be since every row (or unit) must contain all digits 1 to 9.

I'm sure it's not the fault of this puzzle solver but can't understand why this problem is occurring. My PC knowledge is limited but could it be caused by recently downloading "Mozilla Firefox" as a suggested alternative to "Internet Explorer" which won't change my Text size in the "View" option. Help would be appreciated.

Cec, on the Options menu, there's a Block Invalid Moves option - you likely have that turned off. Select it, then try it again - it won't let you delete a candidate across a whole row anymore.

Sorry for delay - power just back on. You were right Shazbot about this option. Must have been DW that turned it off. Thanks for your help.
