Except for the spoiler, 5r6c8, four cells(*) form a 6-sector (r56c18b46) Disjoint Subset that would eliminate 1r6c9,2r2c8,2r56c9 simply by inspection.
Two separate spoiler chains confirm three of those four potential eliminations:
Code: Select all
5r6c8 - (5=34681)r12569c6 - (1=2)r9c9 - r8c7 = 2r2c7 => - 2r2c8;  stte.
5r6c8 - (5=34681)r12569c6 - (1=2)r9c9                => - 2r56c9; stte.

Could this be expressed as

Code: Select all
[(5=2)DS:1279r56c18]           -2r56c9
[5r6c8-(5=1)r12569c6-(1=2)r9c9]-2r56c9; ste

Dan, your chains look fine. But the first chain cites only two of the three potential 2s eliminations. You could also add -2r2c8.
Your second chain is the same as mine. But, I also added my first chain to separately show the third potential 2s elimination as being true as well, and also an stte solution.
Does that answer your question?

Yes Thank you.

My strategy is simplicity. I try to find a single solution with minimum complexity and show only the eliminations necessary to solve the puzzle.

Dan, you got me thinking...
Since there's a strong link between a 'pattern' and its 'spoiler' maybe we could just write a plain bidirectional AIC for a particular potential elimination:
DS = 5r6c8 - (5=34681)r12569c6 - (1=2)r9c9 => - 2r56c9; stte.
