Some easy patterns in the 9s grid...
The three cells marked (*) are stte exclusions. Except for 9r4c3, all other unmarked 9s can eventually "see" a marked exclusion in b13 via X-chains, but 9r4c3 does need an X-Y chain. So, here are just a few simple patterns having those two stte exclusions. Chains for the fins(f), guardians(g), and kraken digits are left for the reader to easily construct. The special X-Y chain fragment needed for 9r4c3 is 9r4c3 - (9=37)r45c2 - (7=49)r15c8 ... as labeled above.
Code: Select all
Finned 1-Fish:
        r4\c2 + rfr4c37  => -9r1c2;
        c3\r3 + rfr467c3 => -9r3c7;
Franken c3\b1 + rfr467c3 => -9r1c2;

Code: Select all
5-Link Oddagon:
r4c2,b1p29,r34c7 + gr16c7,r4c3 => -9r1c2 or -9r3c7

Code: Select all
Kraken units:
Row r4 => -9r1c2 or -9r3c7;
Box b4 => -9r1c2 or -9r3c7;
Col c3 => -9r1c2 or -9r3c7;
