Say it Three Times Fast: Soon...Sun-Times Sunday Sudoku

Postby The Central Scrutinizer » Thu Sep 01, 2005 12:48 pm

If you look closely, at the very bottom of the Letters to the Editor page in Sunday’s (Aug 28th) Chicago Sun-Times, there is a letter from yours truly.

It’s a gentle reminder that there are 7 days in a week and the Sun-Times is only putting Sudoku in Monday thru Saturday’s paper.

This morning (Thursday), after a daily dose of Hurricane Katrina news and White Sox Woes, I found the Sudoku page and the announcement jumped right out at me: Coming Sunday: More Sudoku in Showcase!

Hopefully they’re Pappocom puzzles from Wayne. I’ll look for the signature symmetry.

If so, they’ll probably venture into the Very Hard category. Whee!

Probably not. The Sudoku in the Sunday Wash Post are "Hard", which are actually not very, though challenging and fun at my level. Wayne says that not even X-Wings are needed for them, though that's how I sometimes solve them.
