Saturday's Bonus Sudoku's

Postby Guest » Mon May 16, 2005 10:46 am

With the extra eight grids on saturday I thought I would do the difficult and fiendish ones. Whilst doing this my daughter was nagging to have a go.

I gave her the first easy one and told her the rules. I then watched and urged caution when she was considering the answers. She did make a couple of errors but could see where she went wrong.

It was then completed and she started the next.

(Proud father part) - My daughter is only 6. Just shows that even youngsters can do a logic puzzle!

Thanks for this, NigelG.

The age at which most kids take to Sudoku seems to be 9, though I get reports of 8 yr olds and even a few 7 yrs olds enjoying them. But 6 is about the youngest I've heard, I think.

I have often thought that with an interested parent to guide them, children of that age (or even younger) should be able to enjoy Sudoku.

If she wants to do them I will help her, as long as she doesn't do them faster than me:D
