I suggest to modify the booking list format for post #1 as below.
technique rating (highest rating)=count, puzzle, technique, user
Code: Select all
1.7(3.0)= 4, 000010000002304100050000020100000006040000070005201800070090060600080004000000000, Direct Pointing, JPF
2.0(2.0)=14, 000000000000714800006200390054000080030000020060000740041005200002986000000000000, Direct Hidden Pair, Leaf Card
2.3(7.2)=10, 000010000002304500060000070800000003090000060004502900070090010100040008000000000, Naked Single, JPF
......
......
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The record will be trumped by lower highest rating when count is equal.

TTHsieh,

I'm a bit short of time these days.
I will add soon user's names in the records list - post #1.

I will think at your other suggestions.

This is not from the patterns game so possibly needs a different thread!

This has been posted on the repository page as an example of an SE rating record for a particular resolution rule

Code: Select all
........1.....2.3...4.5.6....57......1...8...7..59.4....96..5...3........4.....82

which has an ER=11.0 but with a Dynamic Contradiction Forcing Chains (+ Forcing Chains) (The rating is true for all current & historic versions from v1.2.1)

I haven't explored the rating records per technique as most of them at the lower end are fixed but this was an example of a technique that was mentioned to have a reported maximum of 10.9. Other reasons for not exploring that as well were the addition of new resolution rules and issues related to problems in finding/rating chains, UR/UL ratings issues, BUG related issues all of which were inherited from the original code.

Uncovering these records is easier now with Sukaku Explainer command line options allowing the ER/EP/ED technique names to appear as options

Code: Select all
%S/%T/%U for the shortened technique name
%R/%P/%D for the full technique name

Reviewing the code would give the theoretical maximums of course but I haven't explored that yet with chains

These are the current ranges that I'm using

999_Springs wrote:x-chains/x-cycles: common 6.5-6.8; rare 6.9
y-cycles: common 6.6-6.8; rare 6.9-7.0
bidirectional cycles: common 7.0-7.2; rare 7.3 and up
forcing chains: common 7.1-7.3; rare 7.4-7.5
aligned triplet: always 7.5
nishio: common 7.6 and 7.8; semi-rare 7.7 (go ask champagne) and 7.9; rare 8.0-8.1
region/cell fc's: common 8.2-8.5 (8.2 only for region); rare 8.6-8.7
dynamic: common 8.8-9.4; rare 8.7 and 9.5(9.6?)
dynamic(+): comon 9.4-10.1; rare 9.3 and 10.2; i think 9.1-9.2 can exist
dynamic(+fc): common 10.2-10.7; rare 10.1 and 10.8(10.9?) ultra rare 9.9-10.0
dynamic(+multiple fc): 10.8-11.5?
dynamic(+dynamic fc): 11.4-11.9; (pencilmark only) 12.0-12.7

These are different chains that dobrichev tabulated in the file rules.ods in the doc folder in the repository.
Code: Select all
Generalized X-Wing
Bidirectional X-Cycle
Bidirectional Y-Cycle
Bidirectional Cycle
Turbot Fish
Forcing X-Chain
Forcing Y-Chain
Forcing Chain
Nishio Contradiction Forcing Chains
Double Forcing Chains
Dynamic Double Forcing Chains

These have a base rating which is the modified according to their length so in theory there could be a greater overlap

These are from me (I don't think they break record but they are markers to improve on:
Code: Select all
Y-Cycle  ER=7.0
5.9..3.67....9..8..3...........495...4...613.8.7..1.....1.8......2....5.9.....6.3

Code: Select all
...3.9..564...7.........7.2.3....4.8....12...2.....9.69....6.7.....4...3...5..2.9
ER=7.4 Bidirectional Cycle

And this is from the same user who posted the example about the DCFC+FC
Code: Select all
........1.....2.3...4.5.6.....1...7...6..3.2..8..4.9...48.......657.....9...6.5..
10.7/10.7/10.0 - Dynamic Region Forcing Chains (+ Multiple Forcing Chains)
