There appear to be two 2's in row 4.

chessmaster copied the puzzle down wrong. The one on the site is a valid puzzle. (it's a shame really:) )
Code: Select all

. . 1 | . . . | 9 . .
. 6 5 | 9 7 . | . 4 8
9 7 . | . . 8 | . . .
------+-------+------
. 5 6 | . 2 . | . . 3
. . . | . . . | . . .
4 . . | . 3 . | 6 2 .
------+-------+------
. . . | 3 . . | .  1 9
5 1 . | . 6 9 | 4 3 .
. . 3 | . . . | 5 .

just copying a complete solution with a pencil to a blank page would require > 4 digits / sec
there's a catch somewhere

The catch is that the whole page, in fact whole site, is a troll/parody...

Quite amusing in a weird sort of way, but not quite subtle enough - he needs to tone down the claims to ALMOST believable, rather than patently ridiculous... (see the link "amazing sudoku" for some giveaways)

He must be slowing down.

If you do check out his amazing claims you'll find that he can do 201.5 Sudokus a second.
