Puzzled

Postby Crazy Girl » Fri Feb 10, 2006 1:26 am

Found this website http://www.barryispuzzled.com/ which has lateral thinking puzzles to be solved in the Perseus test. Has anybody been able to solve this test as i'm currently hitting a brick wall in the middle of the test:( , and would like to complete it, to see what the later puzzles come up with.:D

Well solved it all! Great challenge...

#10 is much easier than the previous 2... (Depends on how good your "lateral thinking")...

See ya in the "inside"...

PS: Request here for any hints. First post which question... I'll give them in public or over pm depends...

I think the original idea of the puzzle creator is to look at the figure that is "doin' a turn", and associate it to a 2-letter term. However, I have to admit I did not get that when I looked at the pic... How I solved it was I looked at the whole scene of 4 figures, try to associate any part of it to a 2-letter thing/term/name and bingo! Hit it within the minute...

PS: it helps to be in the "field of maths"...

PS2: you probably will run into trouble in #8... I'd gladly assist you with some pointers by then... But good luck giving it a few tries first!

Puzzled by #8

Impressive timing up there - an hour after arriving at #8 finished it and then next two as well. How DID you do that.

I've decided that the answer I'm looking for is a 4-letter word that is a synonym or more specific aspect of weave, that when combined with "here" produces an legitimate 8-letter anagram. Am I even close?

Darn close...:)

Needless to say I acquired some help for #8 within that particular hour... I'm no language expert...

Thanks... and more

What a nice answer - thank you. Since I figured it out 2 days later, maybe it was subliminal or maybe I really did figure it out. #9 I've not forced my mind laterally enough to see - have tried to see the fractions as 2 or three letter words, but that doesn't narrow it down enough. Need a four letter word in the end. Clue or hint?

Hint for #9 - try to be insensitive...

It's a full sentence, but not to be read normally. BTW when I said insensitive I meant casewise...

I've gotten all the other questions, but I'm stuck on the 10th... and apparent from the obvious 2001: Space Odyssey reference (which may or may not even be on the right track lol) I'm completely lost... any help?
