Hi P.O.,
I managed to solve this puzzle manually. The only computer assistance was automatic detection of the candidates and the possibility to draw the strong links (see my visual). The main task was to find the right ALS (256789)b4p34567 and to start a chain from it in two directions. Maybe it's hard for most people to find an ALS of 6 elements, but with some training it's possible.
Code: Select all

| 6       2789   1       | 24578  257    234589 | 34789   23579  257   |

The rest is easy, and only two standard patterns are needed.

thank you for your answers; hi Bogdan, personally, i consider using the visual capabilities of a solver to be equivalent to solving manually because it can be done but painfully with pencil and paper and certainly with practice one can learn to spot complicated patterns;

my solution:
Code: Select all
257r3c5 => r9c9 <> 2
 r3c5=2 - c4n2{r123 r9}
 r3c5=5 - c4n5{r13 r4} - r4c9{n5 n7} - r3c9{n57 n2}
 r3c5=7 - c4n7{r123 r4} - r4c9{n7 n5} - r3c9{n57 n2}

( n1r9c9   n7r8c7   n6r5c7   n3r6c7   n9r7c7   n2r7c8 )
intersections: ((((7 0) (5 1 4) (2 5 7 8)) ((7 0) (5 2 4) (2 7 8)) ((7 0) (5 3 4) (2 5 7 8))))
PAIR ROW: ((7 5 8) (1 5)) ((7 6 8) (1 5))
(((7 1 7) (1 3 5 7 8)) ((7 2 7) (1 3 7 8)) ((7 3 7) (5 7 8)) ((8 6 8) (1 2 4 5)))
TRIPLET ROW: ((6 5 5) (2 5 7)) ((6 6 5) (2 5)) ((6 8 6) (5 7))
(((6 1 4) (2 5 9)) ((6 2 4) (2 4 6 9)) ((6 3 4) (2 4 5 6 9)))
( n9r6c1   n2r9c1   n4r9c4   n2r8c6   n5r6c6   n7r6c8   n1r7c6
  n5r4c9   n8r5c6   n2r6c5   n5r7c5   n9r1c6   n5r1c8   n7r3c5
  n2r3c9   n8r4c3   n7r4c4   n7r7c3   n5r3c4 )
SIXTE COL: ((3 2 1) (8 9)) ((4 2 4) (1 3)) ((6 2 4) (4 6)) ((7 2 7) (3 8)) ((8 2 7) (1 4)) ((9 2 7) (6 9))
(((1 2 1) (2 7 8)))

1r2c57 => r2c1 <> 8
 r2c5=1 - r2n6{c5 c9} - r2n7{c9 c1}
 r2c7=1 - r1c7{n1 n8} - c4n8{r1 r2}

P.O.,
I loaded HoDoKu and saw that it found the same way of eliminating the 2 from r9c9 as in your solution. If you are interested in the name of the method, HoDoKu calls it Forcing Net Verity.

Totuan,
you've found a very smart solution!

"his own implementation of braids, S-braids and forcing-S-braids", "he used the so called 'memory chains' instead", "Forcing Net Verity", like i said just so many words;
thank Bogdan this brings back some school memories: Par ma foi ! il y a plus de quarante ans que je dis de la prose sans que j’en susse rien, et je vous suis le plus obligé du monde de m’avoir appris cela.*

*By my faith! i have been speaking prose for more than forty years without knowing anything about it, and i am most obliged to you for having taught me that.

(sorry Bogdan i couldn't help but make this joke)

That was game 337, one of the least successful of all time, with only 16 posted puzzles.

Just so many words ?
Like e.g. war, invasion, rape, looting, murder, ZpeZial operaZion.
You should be more careful about your contempt for the differences in meaning of words.

my poor Denis always the same problem of understanding, what you say is so out of context: just so many words means that the chains that i make are called by different names.

NO. The fact is that all those names mean very different things and what I said fits perfectly what I meant. But in order to understand this, you must first accept the idea that words have meanings - and mere program outputs don't.
BTW, as you like to use citations in French out of context and with distorted meaning, here's one for you: moins on a de culture, plus on l'étale.

your excesses discredit you, your words no longer have much value, apart from insulting everyone, what is the content of your interactions with people?
