You can place a bunch of singles and there is also a naked pair in column 8 that creates a couple more naked pairs, which create a naked triple. These don't directly solve the puzzle but they lead to the solution. Hope it's enough but not to much info.

Look along the top three rows and see that (N)ine can only go one place in Box2.
Look along the leftmost three columns and see that (S)even can only go one place in Box4 etc.

This puzzle only needs:

1) Naked/Hidden Singles

Good luck on finding the correct order!

Underquark, any reason why you've altered box two?
If not, then this is the correct grid.

Code: Select all
` *-----------* |.9.|...|..6| |...|.64|.2.| |..7|..8|..9| |---+---+---| |.5.|...|6.4| |..1|.5.|7..| |4.3|...|.1.| |---+---+---| |1..|2..|9..| |.7.|13.|...| |2..|...|.3.| *-----------*`

This is as far as I have been able to get with this puzzle. If anyone could tell me what the next step is, I might be able to get it. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Suzy_in_nc

Code: Select all
` . 9 . | . . . | . . 6  . . . | 9 6 4 | . 2 7  . . 7 | . . 8 | . . 9 -------+-------+------ 7 5 . | . . . | 6 . 4  . . 1 | 4 5 . | 7 . 3  4 . 3 | . . . | . 1 . -------+-------+------ 1 3 . | 2 . . | 9 7 .  . 7 . | 1 3 . | . 6 .  2 . . | . . . | . 3 1 `

a "hidden" duo in c6.

also, box-line interaction:
the 2 for box6
must be in r6.
