I hope this isn't too confusing, but having resigned I have now returned and found the game still in progress. As I have a puzzle to submit, I have edited my resignation into a comment and will now attempt a submission. I'm curious as to what will happen.

Actually, I think a simplification would be to do away with ::: resign ::: altogether. It's little used, and now even useless.

it makes sense with 2 players left, one with no cache
and I see you figured out the ::: re-sign ::: posting does only that (and ignores a puzzle grids)

A player can resign

Resigned players cannot make further submissions to the current game

i suggest the rules be revised
so that a resigned player is allowed to submit additional puzzles

( and such a submission would revoke the resignation )
