Nearly all puzzles are canonical minimal.

Starting from 62355 puzzles, I got 63129 minimal ED puzzles

I have to do the same on the current TH data base to catch new minimal

Partial result:

no match in my NTH file
49285 matchs in the TH file for the status dy_ph_th_2511 last release for the TH file. (I have plenty of other TH puzzles to process).

I have to work on the rest to see if all have a TH threat. Then, I'll add them in priority for a separate new release.
For later historical search, I keep separate files for new sets released, but no track of the supplier.

This is a file with TH minimals. No new puzzles from me, but the TH files from champagne on his drive, plus miths file on that drive and the revision of my last batch.
I just processed rated 119-115, I use them as seed.

I plan to process the non-th's (also 119-115).
And there are more TH files that I have but they lack the (skfr) rate so I have to do that first.

Champagne if this helps your work maybe I can process lower rates in this way later.

here, I have nearly closed the TH update of the data base.

My ED puzzles database contains puzzles rating skfr >=10.5 coming from

the data base posted earlier
your new puzzles frome the above link
some TH puzzles coming from a big vicinity cycle made in 2025

are missing other smaller chunks coming from the vicinity done on some puzzles from my direct search of non degenerated TH threats.

I hope to put in the drive all files to-morrow.

For this release, I rebuilt the expanded file from scratch, but I am working to have a process skipping all redundant tasks, especially for the skfr rating and the check of ED minimals.

So far, I used gsort Access to help me, but the number of puzzles is now too big and I need some tailor made code.

What is needed is enough guys are willing to have later updates is somebody taking over the burden of the data base update. I don't plan to have a big activity next months in the vicinity generation, althoug I have cores running a search on the 4 digits pattern.

The following puzzles are in this batch

- mithprb_117nomins : puzzles rated 117, non minimal
The minimals of these nonminimals are already in miths file

From paquita the recently published file

The file is cleaned up, the nonminimals are minimal now and the doubles present in the above files are removed as well as the few non-TH

as far as I can see, in your last file paquitas5055newnod
we have 45k ED minimal puzzles rating skfr >=11.5
My cutoff is much lower skfr >=10.5 .
I have currently 4 million TH ED minimal puzzles.

Likely most of your puzzles were in the file that I used to prepare the 2602 delivery.

Yes I only did the highest rates, as I said I use those as seed. I could process other rates as well but if you have all the minimals already that won't be needed.
I thought your 2602 file is non TH because of the "nth" in the name. That is why I did not process that file yet.

I am willing to keep your database updated if no one else does it (I thought that mith was planning it).

about 129 000 puzzles.

I have not finished my update of the Th players base, so it will take several days before I check it.

Just a question.

I think that all are minimal, but do they all have been checked as having the TH threatt??
I have still to check my min assumed TH released file for this property

I also have started some thought on the direct search of this pattern

I have a very simple TH search, I am not sure if it covers all the TH or nonTH cases. I count the occurence of digits.
(it would set the 4-digit pattern as TH puzzle as well)
Maybe you have an algorithm for the TH finding?
Interesting this 4 digit pattern.
My counting digits could be adapted to find these. But again, I am not sure if this gives a good result in all possible cases
Anyway, I will check my batch now with my method to find TH's and be back with the results later.

Hi Paquita,
The TH/NoTH threat split in my player view was done for several reasons

We know that TH and NTH have some affinity, so we have good chance today to produce both in a vicinity search.

The TH threat is there in most of the known puzzles having a high skfr rating
Plenty of minimal can be expanded to the same ‘expanded puzzle’.
For a player, selecting puzzles of interest is very specific to this pattern

The assume TH pattern file has 14 451 700 minimal Canonical expanded to 3 417 105 puzzles
So I have currently in my drive 2 databases of minimal canonical puzzles

dy_ph_nth_2602 \ 01_2510 02_2602
p81_2602\ p81muncl

Both are needed to see what is new in a file. I released the files on my drive to let each user have them as ‘cleaners’.

As you, I use a quick filter to see if a puzzle has potential for a TH threat. They are not identical, but not too far at the end.

In my process, I first expand the puzzle with my expansion code, somewhere between minexpand and maxexpand.
Then, as you seem to do, I check the status of solved cells.

All the puzzles seen as ‘noTH’ of your post are ‘noTH’ for me, but I have more of them

Here is my list with thee TH potential analysis

3 digits if the next condition (2 digits given in the same bo is not thers

Impressive database of TH puzzles!
I noticed that you did not include the (skfr) rates here. I use the rates to split such a file in smaller ones. Although I noticed that sometimes a puzzle has more rates due to different morphs or use of fpgx instead of skfr.
Do you have rates for all the puzzles in p81muncl ? Or maybe not for all?

I tried to catch back already known skfr Ers, but with a bad previous status, I had problems. To be safe, I am running again the full skfr rating of this file, and I'll add at the end the TH threat analysis.

This should take several days, but I think it's worth to have a sound basis for the future.

for future releases, the task will be easier.

Meantime, I'll try to catch known ER on the 3. Million expanded puzzles
